Job Title: Field Sales Coordinator  
 

Location: Kisumu – Kenya with regular travel around the lake basin region
 

Position reports to: Field Sales Manager

Summary of Position: To support the promotion of Mwezi Solar, low cost, off-grid solar products in the Lake Basin Region of Kenya following laid down procedures as required; liaison with Sales Manager, Community Field Officers, Field Sales Agents to promote Mwezi Solar products; to coordinate sales and marketing activities and meet set monthly sales targets.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Managing monthly learning among the team under your management
  • Managing and supervision of Community Field Officers (CFOs)
  • Undertake Training and coaching of the CFOs
  • Ensuring the CFOs are meeting agreed upon sales targets in collaboration with the Sales Agents.
  • Planning in coordination with the Sales Manager and Business Development Manager on new sales prospects.
  • Planning and implementation of marketing activities like road shows and activations
  • Manage brand engagement for Mwezi Solar to increase customer awareness and increase sales within the Lake Basin Region.
  • Recruitment and induction of new Sales Agents to maintain a certain effective number.
  • Integrating community programming including Village Savings and Loans groups into the sales structures ensuring that they are effectively engaged.
  • Generating new sales leads and with the existing networks in coordination with the Business Development Manager.
  • Working with the management team in developing sales agents training guidelines.
  • Implementing new processes and policies as established by the management.
  • Implementing and enforcing new incentive programs
  • Providing relevant monthly progress reports on sales, sales teams and their performance.
  • Working with management to develop a credit management process.
  • Managing general logistics as concerns the sales and marketing activities including distribution of products and marketing materials.
  • Enforcing the implementation of warranty procedures and policies at the field level
  • Placing product orders through the management and ensuring that the CFOs keep track of inventory on a monthly basis.
  • Any other duty as maybe assigned by the management.

Your Qualification

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized institution.
  • Atleast two years’ experience in B2C sales strategies and at least 1 year in field sales management is required.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Proven track record in sales achievements
  • Previous experience in capacity building and training of field sales team is desired.
  • Proven ability of strong day-to-day planning and organization and Strong customer focus
  • Good team leadership and management skills
  • Willing to travel in the geographic area assigned and attend trainings/events in regional/zonal/national hubs
  • Very good organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Must be Computer literate and with good reporting skills.
  • Fluency in the local language is a plus
