The company operates regionally in Uganda and Rwanda with plans to continue their expansion in the region.
 

Role: Responsible for ensuring overall hygiene activities in food production and storage areas (ensure compliance to food safety and hygiene standards at commissary) and implementation and sustenance of ISO 22000 – Food safety Management System.
 

Key Responsibility Areas

  • Create awareness of food safety and hygiene to staff and make sure they understand and adhere to it.
  • Carry out initial hygiene and food safety induction to new staff.  Advice on training needs and assist in conducting food safety & hygiene trainings.
  • Carry out daily hygiene inspection and sanitation conditions in the unit including personal hygiene and working habits of staff.
  • Manage and maintain food safety documentation and records. Ensure HACCP forms are available to the users, duly filled and available during audits or when required.
  • Ensure personal protective equipment (PPE) are available and properly utilized by staff.
  • Ensure compliance to all hygiene practices and food safety procedures at all stages of production and report any deficiencies to the concerned parties for action.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of the pest control programme and report any deficiencies.
  • Manage and maintain the traceability system established.
  • Carry out random checks during receiving of items by suppliers and especially high risk items and report any defdom checks during dispatch of items to branches and especially high risk items and report any deficiencies for action.
  • Carry out raniciencies for action.
  • Assist in carrying out root cause analysis on food safety related
  • complains and failed microbiological results & ensure corrective actions/preventive actions are enforced to prevent future re-occurrence.
  • Any other duties that shall be reasonably assigned by management from time to time.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Required:

  • Must be in possession of a food science based degree or a Diploma from a recognized institution
  • An additional qualification or experience in ISO 22000/HACCP
  • Have a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience
  • Be computer literate

Abilities:

  • Able to work under pressure and with minimal supervision

  • Train clinicians and other personnel on proper use of equipment.
  • Work closely with the medical team as well as end users.
  • Keep up to date with the developments in the field.
  • Deal with technical queries and advise on new and current equipment.
  • Write reports and documentations.
  • Advice on purchase of spare parts for repairs and new equipment for installation.
  • Perform related duties assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma in Medical Engineering
  • Registered by Association of Medical Engineering of Kenya (AMEK).
  • 2 years working experience in medical equipment maintenance in a busy medical institution.
  • Good organization, problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Good interpersonal and math skills.

The Declaration Officer will report to the Managing Director

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Tracking shipments, updating customers on arrival information and ensuring correct shipping documentation
  • Undertake all declaration procedures for imports and exports
  • Application of IDFs
  • Advice the management on correct and most preferred course of action to overcome technicalities that may arise in declaration or clearing operations
  • Bonds management and cancellation procedures
  • Follow up correspondence between various statutory bodies and other parties including KRA, KBS, KPA, etc

  • Offer cost effective and timely legal advisory services and support to the credit recovery function of the Bank in order to foster effective management of regulatory and litigation risk in the recovery of Non-Performing loans.
  • Prepare and facilitate staff training on specific legal matters affecting the bank including dissemination of appropriate legal requirements to various departments.
  • Participating in risk management sessions that have a bearing on legal matters, review risk reports for purposes of managing key risks efficiently in the risk management process and undertake research on current legal developments and prepare briefs to the Head of Legal.
  • Support the Board Secretariat in carrying out secretarial duties.
Qualifications, Skills & Attributes

The successful jobholder will be required to possess the following qualifications:-

  • Must have a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) Degree from a recognized University with a minimum of five years legal experience ideally in a leading organization, with a proven track record in litigation management and conveyance.
  • Must be an advocate of the High Court with a current practicing certificate. CPS will be an added advantage.
  • Working knowledge of the legal environment for Banking and general business/commerce in Kenya will be added advantage.
  • Strong conceptual, analytical, documentation and presentation skills with ability to influence and negotiate at different levels.
