Job Vacancy: Fire Alarm Technician

Reports to:

Project Engineer

Department: Control and life safety

Job Purpose: He should able to do independently pipe fitting for firefighting works as per shop drawing provided to him by Piping Foreman.

Description Performance Indicators

  • Should be able to read individual service drawings as well as coordination drawing.
  • Should be able to understand the type of fire alarm system, accessories and cabling/conduiting works.
  • Cabling and control panel dressing, equipment installation
  • Testing and commissioning of fire alarm and emergency lighting system.
  • Maintenance and trouble shooting of fire alarm and emergency lighting system.
Qualifications, Experience, & Skills:

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:

  • 2 year course in ITI as fire alarm/electrician or equivalent
  • Minimum Experience 5 years ? Civil defense technician approval
  • Knowledge of UAE fire code Job-Specific Skills:
  • Installation – Installing equipment, wiring, and testing.
  • Equipment Maintenance – Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed. Behavioural Competencies :
